Magali Crosthwaite is from Brittany in France. She started learning the Chromatic Accordion at the age of 13, together with the Bouton Organ (it is the same keyboard as the accordion). She qualified in 1982 as a teacher through the E.U.P.A. (Conservatory of Florange in France) and then opened her accordion school in Vannes. She also played in bands until she left for South Africa in 1988. She plays for many functions (private and corporate), coffee shops and restaurants in the Natal area. She also teaches Piano Accordion and Keyboard, in Amanzimtoti.
